Our mission at St. Mary’s is simple: “World-Sized Hearts. World-Class Minds.” By equally engaging the heart and the mind, we inspire and empower our students to change the world with purpose and understanding. Our students are inquirers. By asking “what” and “why,” they begin to understand their role in the “how.”

St. Mary's Programs

Understanding who you are and having the self-confidence to adhere to those decisions isn’t something we take for granted at St. Mary’s School. We offer many programs to empower our students and nurture their interests.

Athletics Program

Our philosophy is simple: work hard, develop lifelong skills, be competitive and have fun. Athletics teach us much more than X’s and O’s. Athletes learn new skills, develop healthy habits, take risks and learn how to cooperate and interact with others. These are lifelong skills that not only benefit athletes now but help them on their quest to become successful global citizens.

Field Study Program

A student can read about the American Revolution or watch a video about the ocean, but it does not have the same impact as seeing Colonial Williamsburg or enjoying the marvels snorkeling in Catalina.

Lower School Grades Kindergarten-5

The Lower School curriculum focuses on the development of the whole child as an inquirer, both in the classroom and in the world outside. We teach our students to ask "what" and "why" in a way that demonstrates that they are an essential part of the answer to "how."

Middle School Grades 6-8

Middle School students pursue a rigorous academic program in a positive, supportive environment. Through the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP), students are taught how to be inquirers capable of accessing and analyzing information. They learn by doing; connecting their studies in the classroom to the real world. Thinking critically, creatively and taking a disciplined approach to their studies, students gain confidence in their ability to manage their own learning. Recognizing they are part of something larger than their local communities, St. Mary’s Middle School students develop an understanding of global challenges and a commitment to act as responsible citizens.

Falcon Testimonials

"St. Mary's has prepared me for high school not only through academics but being part of the community. It has helped me grow in getting ready for the big jump of not being in a small circle by joining every sport and group, to really be a risk taker and open-minded."

Francesca Goffman'23 Alumna

"As a newer grandparent to the school, with two fledgling Falcon grandsons thriving in the EEP program, it quickly became apparent to me what a truly meaningful educational experience St. Mary's provides."

Susan A. Chaney '23 Falcon Grandparent

"Chapel at St. Mary's is a place where everyone comes together and worships God, but also it's a check-in to see how you're doing and reset to get ready for the new week. I really enjoyed Chapel."

David Georgianna '23 Alumnus

"The aspect of St. Mary's that I'm most proud of is our community. Walking in the morning, you see everyone, everybody greets you, everyone is friendly and we all know each other. I have seen shadow students come to visit, everybody just welcomes them with open arms and I think that is such a great quality for a school. You could be completely new, walk in and you'd have eight friends off the bat. I think that's my favorite thing about St. Mary's."

Lacey Dinicola '23 Alumna

"I served as the ASB House Commissioner. In the beginning, public speaking was very nerve racking but after growing with my ASB family I became very comfortable giving talks at House Games. It was a fun, life changing experience and now public speaking is a skill I can use in many aspects of life."
